Sniper component to commandos?
Is there a sniper component to the commando’s? I hear about like the U.S marine scout snipers who are part of some elite teams but i haven’t heard and can’t find anything about a position as a commando sniper or something similar. Do they all have assault roles, is it the SASR that have the snipers, etc…?

Like the regular infantry battalions, the two Commando Regiments have their own organic snipers. On paper, each commando company has their own snipers organized seperately from the standard platoons..
The regular infantry battalions each have a sniper cell, as a part of the battalion’s recon platoon. These snipers are a considered a seperate job, with their own job title and ECN (ie, Sniper ECN 388 instead of Rifleman ECN 343). Meanwhile, Commando snipers still retain the same ECN as other Commandos, to them it’s just another one of many potential skill sets.

Once again, an absolute load of rubbish. The state infantry regiments don’t train or maintain any sniper capability, and the amount of snipers in a battalion is nowhere near the figures you guessed. Many of the terms you used are dodgy and/or mismatched.
I’ll advise you to stop bigging yourself up as ex-SASR member (some of the nonsense you’ve spouted out now and in the past would be laughable if a regular newbie digger said it, much less a member of the special forces).
