Did I eat healthy so far? What should I have for supper?
this is what i ate:
oatmeal
a clementine
a large sweet potato with butter and salt
baby carrots with about a tbsp of ranch
water
would baked beans and shredded cheese on wheat toast be okay for supper?
oh and im trying to lose 20 pounds
i am a vegetarian yes….
i am going to have beans on toast for supper with mashed potatoes, i think..
am no longer having cheese
You did pretty well, but you might want to include foods with more protein (eggs, fish, chicken) because ultimately protein is going to help you build lean muscle which will boost your metabolism because lean muscle is always burning fat. Your last meal of the day should be lighter and include a good amount of protein and few carbs. Try eating baked chicken seasoned with soy sauce and mrs. dash and some mixed vegetables. If you eat a meal heavy with carbs before bed, that will sit in your body overnight since you will not be active as you sleep to burn it off. Your best bet is to eat your carbiest foods in the morning or midday or before a workout when your body is readiest to work them off.
Also, the sweet potato was actually an excellent choice. Sweet potatoes are full of vitamins and are a low calorie, low fat choice. They are much better for you than regular white or yellow potatoes. Sweet potatoes only become bad for you when you eat them in the form of candied yams which are full of sugar. You’re headed in the right direction, keep it up!
