What’s the best professional camera brand?
I’m going to the 10th grade next year. & I’m gonna take a photography class. I need help looking for a good professional camera. Any suggestions on a certain brand or model..?
When it comes to professional cameras, Nikon and Canon make about 90% of the ones used by working pros.
That said, you need to find out if you need a 35 mm SLR or a dSLR for your class. At this point, you do NOT need a professional camera. They start at $5,000 cost as much as $8,000, just for a body, no lens included
If your instructor tells you, you need a dSLR, then look at the Nikon D3100 or Canon T1i/500D as your starting camera ($700). Hopefully, you just need a 35 mm SLR with standard zoom lens. You can find those for under $150 on craigslist. Again, look for a Nikon or Canon brand. They are the most plentiful and when you do move to a dSLR, you will have a lens or two you can use with it.
